Cobra Protection Ltd is responsible for personal information supplied to us in an enquiry or a client relationship. Please keep initial enquiries general and do not send sensitive operational details until we agree an appropriate private channel.
1. Who we are
Cobra Protection Ltd, company number 14033901, is registered in England and Wales. Our correspondence address is Level One, Basecamp Liverpool, 49 Jamaica Street, Liverpool, L1 0AH. Consultations by arrangement. Contact info@cobraprotection.co.uk or 07704 421991 about privacy matters. ICO registration: ZC189160.
2. Information we use
When you use our enquiry form, email, call or message us, we receive the contact details and information you choose to give us. If you become a client, we may also process the information needed to assess, quote for, deliver and administer the agreed services. That may include sensitive information where a particular assignment genuinely requires it. The website host may receive technical data such as IP address, device and request details in server logs. We do not ask for a Principal’s identity, live itinerary or precise security arrangements in an initial website enquiry.
3. Purposes and lawful bases
We use enquiry details to respond and assess whether our services are appropriate, normally relying on our legitimate interests in handling a requested business enquiry or taking steps towards a contract. We use client information to prepare and perform an agreed contract, meet legal obligations and, where relevant, pursue legitimate interests such as record keeping and protecting our legal position. A particular use of special-category or criminal-offence data needs its own applicable condition and safeguards; this website is not a request to send that data publicly. We do not use an enquiry to add you to a marketing list automatically.
4. Sharing and transfers
Access is limited to those who need the information for the relevant purpose. Service providers that host the website, email and work records may process information on our behalf under their applicable terms. Information may also be shared where required by law or where necessary for an agreed service, subject to appropriate safeguards. Providers and their technical infrastructure may involve processing outside the UK; where UK transfer rules apply, we assess and use a lawful transfer mechanism and safeguards. Ask us if you need details relevant to your information.
5. Retention and your rights
Unsuccessful enquiry correspondence is normally removed after 12 months. Client and business records are retained according to their purpose, contractual requirements, legal obligations and any relevant claim periods; they are reviewed rather than kept automatically for a single fixed period. Technical server logs are kept according to the host’s operational and security retention settings, which may change. You may ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing where the relevant legal conditions apply. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Contact us first if you would like us to resolve a concern.
6. Website services
The website uses hosted fonts and, on Crime Check, third-party map and public-data services. When you load those features or search a postcode, the relevant provider may receive technical information needed to serve the request. The postcode is sent to the postcode lookup service; approximate coordinates are then used to request public police crime data and map tiles. Do not use the tool to infer details about a specific household or person. If you actively accept optional analytics, Google Analytics 4 receives website-use information such as pages viewed, device/browser details, approximate location derived from technical data, and interactions configured in the analytics property. We do not deliberately send names, enquiry content or Crime Check postcodes to Analytics. We use your consent for the optional analytics storage and processing; you can reject or withdraw it through Cookie settings in the footer. Our current Google Analytics property retains event data for two months and user data for 14 months; Google Analytics cookies can remain for up to two years, while your consent choice is stored locally for up to 180 days. Google may process analytics data outside the UK under its applicable terms and safeguards. We do not operate an advertising pixel or full AI chat. The enquiry form sends the details you submit to our Google Workspace mailbox through a send-only Google mail connection; the form does not give the website access to read our mailbox. A short-lived session cookie and a technical rate-limit record are used to limit repeat submissions. Direct email, telephone and WhatsApp remain available. See the Cookie Notice.
